Hello and welcome. We haven’t written in a long time. Without sounding like an echo of everyone’s sentiments, 2020 was quite something huh? Well, 2021 hasn’t done a good job of clearing the 2020 trauma but we have learnt how to live through a pandemic!
The title of my first blog this year is “Life As We Now Know It”! Last year I didn’t blog much as I was busy with a number of projects as you may have seen on my social media pages. The dust has finally settled and so have I! 2021 will be filled with more exciting stuff plus regular blog posts!
To start the year right, I believe in setting goals and a theme for the year. There are various areas of my life that are consistently at the top of the list when I set my with goals and these are Career, Finances, Personal Development and Personal goals (my spiritual life, family, me and other things fall under Personal goals). It is important that you identify key areas in your life when setting goals so that your goals match your priorities. Despite the challenges the world is faced with, I have settled with what 2021 has to offer and I have adapted and I shall continue to adapt. I recently looked at the long term goals I set a few years ago and had to realign them with the new opportunities the pandemic has presented to us. Life is no longer what it used to be and it is important that we take intentional steps that will keep us grounded when things go back to “normal” or if they remain the same.

This blog post is to encourage and motivate you during this time. To remind you that the world is faced with a pandemic and needs various solutions for different things. Take time and ask yourself “What solution can I bring about in my area?”. Regardless of how small you might think your solution is, it will make a difference!I urge you to take some time out and set some goals. SMART goals that can be achieved or worked at during this time.
Life as we now know it is filled with a lot of uncertainty. Setting goals may seem pointless because you honestly have no idea what tomorrow has to offer. Well, I think that way of thinking is WRONG! There is absolutely nothing wrong with deferring goals that are hindered by things outside of your control- it doesn’t make you a failure. There is however something absolutely wrong with not making any goals because you don’t know what lies ahead. Some goals are NOT affected by the pandemic, but rather require a few changes to be able to implement strategies towards achieving those goals. Those are the goals you can go all out on in this time.
When the dust settles, will you be starting from 2019? Unfortunately we are being robbed of a few years of our lives, but we can still make a few strides towards the future we imagined for ourselves albeit with a few changes here and there.
This was not meant to be as harsh as it sounds. Life as we now know it has changed drastically. Take bold steps and solution for what we are currently facing and what lies ahead.

Stay safe!Wash your hands! Wear a mask! This is not a drill.
